Papa amesema  katika maisha ya Kanisa kuna maeneo yanapaswa kufanywa upya. Hivyo Yesu alikuja kutufanya wapya na kwa njia hiyo alikuja kutuweka huru. Yesu  hajaleta sheria nyingine bali ameileta sheria mpya ambayo si sawa na sheria nyingine. Sheria nyingine inaruhusu kuwachukia wengine lakini Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo anatutaka tuwaombee. 

"He explained that what Jesus requires of us is greater than the requirements of the law. The law allows us to hate our enemy; Jesus, on the other hand, tells us to pray for him. This, then, is “the Kingdom of God that Jesus preaches”: a renewal above all “in our heart.” We think that “being Christian means doing this, or doing that; but it is not so".
